Pastor Kayanja to Feed Over 500 Families During This COVID-19 Pandemic Lockdown Period

More than 500 families are set to benefit from the Robert Kayanja Ministries through the “Bucket Project”, where they will be given food and home essentials to aid them throughout this lockdown period of the COVID-19 Pandemic
According to Pastor Robert Kayanja, the essentials include maize flour, sugar, rice, beans, and soap which will aid in sustaining families during the temporary shutdown.
Pastor Kayanja, who launched the sending of the commodities at Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga on Wednesday, 25th March 2020, said that Kisenyi, one of the Kampala suburbs, will be their starting point on Friday, 27th March 2020.
The target population of this campaign are mainly families living in slum areas. This will be done in a period of 30 days.
“Majority of the people in Uganda are poor, now that we are at war with Coronavirus, there are many things that rise up and this includes hunger. People are going to go hungry if a lock down
is put up, some people might start stealing. So we are providing for those people who are not capable in preparation for what is to come,” Pastor Kayanja said.
It should also be noted that during the National Prayer that was held on 23rd March 2020, Pastor Kayanja requested the government to join hands with the ministry to support the project.
President Museveni, however, on Tuesday, 24th March 2020, warned traders against hiking
food prices, stating that those that will be caught in the act risk losing their trading licenses.
