KIU Wins Big in IUIU Women’s Day Volleyball Tournament

It was fan as Kampala International University (KIU) excelled in the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) women’s day volleyball tournament.
The team lead by Captain Musubika Patricia, also a Libero from Sport S Volleyball Club, did not find any difficulty in winning Ndejje University two sets to one (2:1) in the best of three finals.
KIU disciplined Universities like Makerere University, Ndejje University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology uniformly with a 3:0 victory to enable them qualify for the semifinals.
At the semifinal stage, KIU disciplined the hosts IUIU 2:0 and managed to qualify for the final game where they managed to become the 2018 champions.
The squad was composed of ten girls including Captain Musubika Patricia, Amurino Eunice, Tumwebaze Esther, Namirimu Faridah, Kagoya Kauther, Evas Nayebare, Barbara Yatsoyenko, Sharon Masika, Carol Nabada Jalia and the team Coach Mugisha Benon.
The sports tutor at KIU, Ms. Annet Kabasindi thanked the girls for the great performance.
“These girls really impressed me. I have nothing to say other than to thank them.” said Kabasindi. She also promised to take the team to the forth coming East African University games in Dodoma, Tanzania.
